Bute Inlet has numerous rivers and streams that empty into it and in the fall these rivers and streams are teaming with salmon. Like nearby Knight Inlet, this BC wilderness was made for bears and Bute Inlet Wilderness Lodge can take you on a bear watching tours / grizzly tours like no other! Bute Inlet, BC is adjacent to Knight Inlet and the Orford River, one of the most famous BC bear tours destinations, and offers a similar opportunity to observe grizzly bears and black bears in their natural habitat while on safe, guided bear watching tours. Starting in August, Bute Inlet Wilderness Lodge offers several grizzly bear tours. Our fall bear viewing tours run from mid-August through October and originate from the Bute Inlet Lodge, Campbell River and Whistler.
On your Bute Inlet Wilderness Lodge bear watching tour you'll see waterfalls and granite cliffs a thousand feet high along with river valleys that are home to black bears, grizzly bears, deer, mountain goats, eagles, ravens and many others birds and animals. Bear viewing tours include grizzly bears feeding on salmon and interacting with each other in a purely natural environment. The Orford River bear tours offer excellent grizzly bear viewing opportunities.
Boating bear tours allow you to thrill at the sight of black bears feeding along the shoreline, sometimes with cubs in tow.
